There's a reason why Mallorca is so popular for cycling - the roads are the best we've ridden on, the sun is (nearly always!) shining, the cake is awesome and finally (and most importantly!) it has a collection of THE BEST rides - there's mountains, scenic flats, sea views, picturesque towns and stunning landscapes to choose from.

Trust us, it won't disappoint....

Using our hotel in Alcudia as a base, we will take you on a stunning exploration of this cycling paradise, giving you the opportunity to challenge yourself on the climbs and explore the beautiful backroads - plus we'll make sure you have plenty of fun along the way.

We have included a sample itinerary below, however, please note this is subject to change based on weather and group requests. We promise to show you the best Mallorca has to offer, whilst meeting some new cycling companions!

Day 1: Porreres 110km, 750m

oday's ride takes us to the pretty town of Porreres, which has a picturesque old town and a good selection of cafes. Our route takes us out on a mixture of roads from fast MA routes through to the scenic inland country roads. We'll enjoy silky tarmac on excellent road surfaces, pass through pretty towns and take in superb undulating sections before hitting the town.

Our return passes through the well known towns of Petra, Santa Margalida and Ariany, before we join the MA12 from Can Picafort back to Alcudia.

Day 2: Orient 115km, 1,000m

Today we head our for our first taste of the Tramuntana mountains - the Col D'Honor After a quick coffee in Santa Maria, we'll have a steady climb up to Bunyola where the real climbing starts. After a short descent we'll pass through the valley through the town of Orient before enjoying an exhilarating descent on a top road surface down to Alaro. Here we'll have lunch before making our way back via the foothills to Alcudia.

Most of the hard work for the day is now behind us now as we sail home for more sea views and ice creams on the beach!

Day 3: Sa Calobra 115km, 2000m

The climb everyone comes to the island to do! We head out from Alcudia round the bay towards Pollenca then tackle our first climb of the day, the Col de Femenia (c.8km). After coffee, we continue through 10km of undulating terrain along the mountain roads towards the top of the Sa Calobra climb. Here you can look down and see the road twisting and turning below you and witness what's in store! From here we descend down to the town of Sa Calobra before starting our challenging 10km ascent back out! We return to Alcudia via a similar route, but descend from the mountains via the Col de sa Batalla, through a stunning gorge.

Day 4: Petra (75km, 750m)

This route takes us via the scenic farmlands and back roads out to Petra. The terrain is undulating, with a mixture of surfaces, so demands our full attention as we make our way there.

We break for refreshments in Petra - the typical Mallorcan square with a fountain, next to the church makes you feel that you’re getting some culture as well as enjoying some of the best cycling you’re likely to experience! The square is buzzing with cyclists during the season, and the coffee and cake here is to die for.

Day 5: Puig Major and Soller 135km, 1,850m

Today we head to the big mountains! We head out via a relatively flat route down to Santa Maria, where we'll have a quick coffee before tackling our first climb of the day, the Col de Soller. This is a steady 5km climb with a gentle gradient, and the views back over the valley are spectacular.

We then descend into the buzzing town of Soller for lunch before we take on Puig Major, the island's highest point. Our ride finishes with a stunning descent into Pollenca before returning back via the coast.

Day 6: Formentor Lighthouse (65km, 900m)

Formentor is one of Mallorca's best known routes, with panoramic views of the coast to enjoy as the road twists and turns out towards the ligthouse. The views are simply breathtaking. The road starts with a 3km climb out of Puerto Pollenca before reaching a stunning lookout over the bay. Here you can catch your breath before continuing on down a few hairpins, through a tree-covered road out to the coast. The route then tracks along the edge of the cliffs before reaching the famous lighthouse at the end.

We return the way we came and enjoy a final lunch in Port de Pollenca.
